Out of the Mouths of Babes

Him, agitatedly: “Hey, hey, hey! Don’t play with those!”
Me, teasing: “Hey, hey, hey: ‘you’re not the boss of me.’”
Him, matter-of-factly: “Yeah, I know; Mom is.”
Me: laughing out loud
Wife, also matter-of-fact: “That’s right.”
Doomed am I.
